STUHLMULLER VINEYARDS: NEW WORLD EXCELLENCE
Stuhlmuller Vineyards is nestled in a unique river bench and hillside location on the southwestern edge of the Alexander Valley, where three of Northern Sonoma County's top appellations come together. There, virtually a stone's throw from Chalk Hill and the Russian River Valley, the vineyard's ancient soils and perfect microclimate provide the ideal environment for growing exceptional Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel.
The 150-acre Stuhlmuller Vineyard is located in northern Sonoma County, where the Alexander, Dry Creek, and Russian River valleys come together. With vines planted at the convergence of these three, highly regarded Sonoma appellations, Stuhlmuller Vineyards occupies a unique place in the national viticulture. Located at the southwestern edge of the Alexander Valley, along the banks of the Russian River, Stuhlmuller Vineyards possesses gravel, clay, and volcanic soils. The geology of this terrain was formed during thousands of years of alluvial fan movement and flooding. Today, these ancient soils and the distinctive microclimate of the area, provide the ideal environment for growing world-class Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Zinfandel.

BEFORE FINALIZING TRAVEL ARRAGEMENTS, PLEASE NOTE: Estate wineries not only observe familial traditions, they are working businesses with ongoing operations. Overwhelmingly, wineries following the artisan tradition of high craftsmanship tend to be family-owned and operated with small staffs. Estate wineries are by definition relatively modest in size and scale, particularly in comparison to modern commercial factory wineries. Some of the estate wineries represented by AEV may not have staff or facilities available for visitors 365 days a year, though generally reservations for visitation may be made.
FOR AN AMAZING WINERY EXPERIENCE:
Please contact Dennis Payne at Artisan Estate Vineyards, LLC for assistance in
making arrangements to visit this winery. AEV would be delighted to be of
service in this regard.
RESERVATIONS: Reservations help assure a warm welcome and, in many cases, can allow the family and staff tending to the vineyard and winery much needed time to prepare for your arrival. Kindly do them the courtesy of making appropriate reservations, prior to finalizing wine country travel itineraries. Travelers intending to visit an estate winery should contact each winery of planned visitation at least thirty days prior, to ensure both that they are admitting visitors during the appropriate time and that their ongoing operations are able to graciously accomodate your visit.
